Parcels L4, L5, South Boston

Project Description: The South Boston Seaport District includes a large area known as Parcel L. Parcel L is designed with a three level underground parking garage. However, this parcel has been broken up into several segments, known as L1, L2, L3, L4. Each segment is designed as a stand-alone excavation project, with permanent slurry walls at the exterior perimeter, and temporary steel sheetpiling at the intermediate project limits. To date, parcels L4 & L5 have been constructed. AA Will's scope of work includes excavation, sheetpiling, slurry wall, and bracing. Our scope also included processing, recycling, and transportation of excavated soils to various landfills, recycling facilities, and onsite reuse. In addition, site utilities, curbing and paving were installed. Total quantities included 220,000 cy excavation 72,000 sf of sheetpiling, 63,000 sf of slurry wall, and 6.6 million pounds of bracing.
