Fan Pier Lots A,B,C,D,H,I

Project Description: Three mixed use building sites on South Boston’s waterfront used steel sheeting, braced with a combination of tiebacks and rakers to allow construction of CIP basement structures. At some loctions, due to the presence of deep underground obstructions, pretrenching was done prior to sheeting installation, using cable suspended slurry wall clamshell buckets and cement bentonite backfill. An existing stone seawall was replaced with steel sheeting and tie-rods and constructing a 500’ long steel pipe pile supported harborwalk with IPE decking.
