Mass General Hospital Building for the Third Century

Installation of reinforced concrete slurry wall, load bearing elements with embedded steel columns, and excavation utilizing top down construction techniques for a high rise medical facility with below grade medical space and associated site work.

Installation of 80,000 S.F. of slurry wall foundation wall and interior load bearing elements and structural columns.
• Excavation of 50 ft deep laboratory structure during high rise construction (Up-Down). This work involves
the excavation of soils below existing concrete floor slabs, within a slurry wall cofferdam.
• Treatment and disposal of hazardous waste. Includes on site stabilization of lead contaminated soils, and subsequent hauling.
• Processing, recycling, and transportation of 80,000 C.Y. of excavated soils to various landfills and recycling facilities.
• Reconstruction of Fruit Street, a two lane roadway.
• Installation of new sewer, water, drain, electric, telephone utilities in public ways
